Community Foundation of Marshall County Announces Retirement

MARSHALLTOWN, IA   8/29/16 –

Mary Jo Baitinger, President of the Board for the Community Foundation of Marshall County (CFMC) has announced the upcoming retirement of Bettie Bolar who has served as Director since 2011. Baitinger states, “We believe we have been able to serve the community in a big way because we have had a Director heading up the efforts. We plan to continue that position and are looking at eventually increasing to a full-time position.  We are proud of the success we have had over the years and are excited with our plans for continued service.  Bettie’s background in the community and her work ethic have been invaluable to us. As CFMC works toward improving the quality of life in Marshall County by building charitable endowments and by addressing critical needs of our communities in partnership with nonprofit organizations and donors, we look forward to finding someone who can help us carry out our mission.”

“It has been an awesome opportunity to serve the community through CFMC for the past 6 years,” states Bolar. “The growth of CFMC has been exciting. I have had the pleasure of working with a group of outstanding board members who have devoted hours to building this foundation. It has been an honor to be the first Director of such a valuable organization.”
