2026 Board of Directors grant focus area* is: Investment in Youth Capital Projects
*Please note the Board’s intent is to grant at least 50% of grant funds to their focus area.
2026 Grant Funds available: $90,000
Grant Cycle Status: This grant cycle is currently closed. Sixteen of the 36 letters of intent were invited to complete a full application. Grant applications are due on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Noon. The grant ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 24th at DeJardin Hall.

Over the years we have awarded 690 grants totaling over $1,942,416 to 145 different organizations that serve the citizens of Marshall County. Those grants have allowed children enjoy playgrounds and little league facilities, provided funding for the Rose Festival and Marshalltown Arts Festival, allowed adults to learn English as a second language, provided fire equipment, a gator to water flower baskets and security cameras to cities and so much more! 2026 Student Philanthropy Grants

L.U.C.C. (Leaders Uplifting our Community with Charity) – West Marshall High School:
- Focus areas: recreational opportunities for youth and young adults that benefit their mental health
- $10,000 to grant in 2026 ($5k CFMC & $5k Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation
- This grant application period is closed.
S.E.A.L. (Students Empowering And Leading) – East Marshall High School
- Focus areas: youth activities, youth basic need items and food insecurity
- $10,000 to grant in 2026 ($5k CFMC & $5k Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation)
- This grant application period is closed.
S.T.E.P. (Students Teaching and Empowering Philanthropy) – $15,000 – Marshalltown High School
- Focus areas: food insecurity, youth involvement and transportation
- $15,000 to grant in 2026 ($5k CFMC & $10k Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation)
- This grant application period is closed.
Important notes:
- You are welcome to apply to multiple student philanthropy programs. We will coordinate the funding between the three programs.
- Student philanthropy groups provide grants to ALL of Marshall County – not just their school district.
